A conical burr grinder is recommended because it produces a more consistent, even grind with less heat generation compared to flat burrs, resulting in a smoother, more balanced flavor profile. Please don’t use that old school 2 blade grinder that your mom had. It only breaks the coffee beans into a million different sizes, not allowing for a consistent flavor profile.
